Smart Start is owned and operated by Hillary Elmore. Hillary is an experienced day care teacher with an extensive background in education. She holds a master's degree in teaching from SUNY Cortland and opened Smart Start in 2014 after working in Early Childhood the two years prior. Hillary is a mom to three boys, Tanner, Rohan and Hagen, and a Golden Retriever, Layla, who can be seen around Smart Start from time to time.

Katelin is Smart Start's North Campus Director. She assists in all of our classrooms with planning and program development and manages our team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants. Katelin has worked at Smart Start since 2018 and was the Lead Teacher of our Preschool classroom for her first 5 years before accepting her most recent position as Co-Director. Katelin is local to the Finger Lakes area and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
